Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has called for unity and strategic realignment within his party following the recent judgment of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, urging members to put internal differences aside and focus on preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Reacting to the apex court’s verdict, Saraki emphasized that while legal battles are a normal part of democratic processes, the time has come for party stakeholders to close ranks and rebuild trust among members.

He noted that prolonged internal disputes could weaken the party’s chances at the polls if not addressed with urgency and sincerity.

According to him, the judgment should serve as a turning point for renewed commitment to collective goals, adding that unity remains the strongest pillar for electoral success.

He stressed the need for inclusive dialogue, reconciliation efforts, and a clear roadmap that will position the party as a credible alternative ahead of 2027.

Saraki further urged party leaders at all levels to prioritize the interests of the electorate over personal ambitions, calling for discipline, loyalty, and grassroots mobilization.

He highlighted the importance of engaging young people, women, and other key demographics in the party’s rebuilding process, noting that broad-based participation will be critical in shaping a winning strategy.

The former Kwara State governor also underscored the need for early planning, policy clarity, and strong messaging that resonates with Nigerians’ expectations.

He maintained that with unity, effective leadership, and a well-coordinated campaign structure, the party stands a strong chance of reclaiming political dominance in the next electoral cycle.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the party’s progress, expressing optimism that lessons from recent challenges will strengthen its resolve and enhance its readiness to compete effectively in the 2027 polls.
