The Federal Government has announced a notable improvement in the nation’s electricity generation capacity,

 Reporting an increase from 3,951 megawatts (MW) to 4,300 MW within a two-week period spanning March 28 to April 10.

 This development reflects ongoing efforts by the government to stabilize and enhance power supply across the country.

According to officials, the increase is attributed to a combination of improved operational efficiency at power generation plants, better grid management, and sustained interventions in the energy sector.

 The government emphasized that this progress forms part of its broader strategy to address longstanding challenges in electricity generation and distribution, which have historically impacted economic growth and quality of life.

While acknowledging that the current output still falls short of national demand, the Federal Government reaffirmed its commitment to further reforms and investments aimed at boosting capacity, diversifying energy sources, and ensuring a more reliable and sustainable power supply.
