Rt. Hon. A.T. Brume has formally declared his intention to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly seat representing Ughelli North Constituency 1, during a strategic consultation meeting with elders and political leaders of the constituency.
The meeting, which held at the country home of Surveyor Terry Naoh, brought together respected stakeholders and party leaders from across Ughelli North Constituency 1.
It served as an important platform for dialogue, consultation, and the strengthening of political consensus ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Addressing the gathering, Rt. Hon. Brume described himself as a devoted son of the constituency who has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment to the growth and unity of the party.
He emphasized his longstanding contributions, loyalty, and grassroots engagement, noting that his political journey has been defined by service, perseverance, and support for others within the party structure.
“I stand before you today as your son who has worked tirelessly for the progress of our party and our people,” he said. “
I humbly seek your support and endorsement as I present myself for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency 1.
I believe my exposure, experience, and dedication position me as a credible and capable choice for this responsibility.”
Rt. Hon. Brume further highlighted his consistent participation in previous electoral processes,
noting that he has been actively involved in the race for the House of Assembly seat since 2015, including the 2019 and 2023 election cycles.
He stressed that his persistence reflects both his passion for service and his deep-rooted commitment to the development of the constituency.
He also reminded the elders and leaders of his history of supporting other candidates who previously contested for the same position, demonstrating his loyalty to the party and its collective success over personal ambition.
In his goodwill message, Rt. Hon. Brume appealed to the unity and wisdom of the constituency’s leadership, expressing confidence in their ability to guide the political direction of Ughelli North Constituency 1.
He urged them to come together with a shared vision and support his aspiration, not only to secure victory at the party primaries but also to emerge successful in the 2027 general elections.
