David Mark And Rotimi Amaechi, Can't Secure Benue And Rivers States for ADC, Says Wike

RIVERS STATE POLITICS

Nyesom Wike has asserted that former Senate President David Mark and ex-Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi do not possess the political influence required to deliver electoral victories in Benue and Rivers States, respectively, for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to Wike, the existing political structures and grassroots support in both states remain firmly beyond their control, making any such expectations unrealistic.

He emphasized that electoral success in these regions depends heavily on deep-rooted political networks, consistent engagement with local stakeholders, and a clear understanding of the states’ unique political dynamics—factors he believes neither Mark nor Amaechi currently commands under the ADC platform.

Wike further suggested that party loyalty and voter alignment in both states are shaped by longstanding affiliations that cannot be easily swayed by high-profile defections or endorsements.

In his view, any attempt by the ADC to rely on these figures to secure victories in Benue and Rivers would likely fall short without a more comprehensive grassroots strategy and stronger local alliances.
