The Joint Committees on Petroleum Resources of Nigeria’s National Assembly of Nigeria
comprising members from both the Senate and the House of Representativeshave formally passed a vote of absolute confidence in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.

This decision was reached during a high-level Parliamentary Roundtable convened in Abuja to evaluate the current state of pipeline security and intensify efforts in combating crude oil theft across the Niger Delta.

The strategic session brought together key stakeholders from across the oil and gas value chain, including top officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited,
senior security operatives, regulatory authorities, and industry experts.

Discussions centered on assessing the effectiveness of existing surveillance frameworks, identifying persistent challenges, and proposing sustainable solutions to protect Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure.

Lawmakers at the roundtable commended Tantita Security Services for its operational performance, particularly its role in curbing pipeline vandalism and significantly reducing incidents of crude oil theft in recent times.

Participants highlighted the company’s deployment of local intelligence networks, advanced monitoring strategies, and community engagement initiatives as key contributors to improved security outcomes in the region.

The vote of confidence underscores the National Assembly’s endorsement of ongoing public-private collaboration in securing national assets and boosting oil production. It also reflects growing institutional support for innovative and community-driven approaches to addressing long-standing security concerns in the Niger Delta.

Further details and official statements from the session are expected to be released in due course.
